Handmade Lampwork artisan glass beads (that's a mouthfull!), made by me Laurie in my psuedo studio in Portage Michigan... Please feel free to check out my galleries and present auctions. Lampwork is an art of winding or sculpting glass rods onto a metal mandrel using a torch to melt in, Once apon a time many many moons ago they used oil lamps hence the name lampwork, It is a very old art which I find very romantic, to actually take a rod of simple glass and make something almost come to life! Not unlike spinning straw into gold?.

I have fallen in Love with my torch,(Dragonheart) I enjoy so much creating new designs and pushing the envelopes.Its very exciting for me to send my sets to different places in the world! where they live.. Happily Ever After...
