New Series Im working on, these peices consist of flame worked peices, then assembled and fused into a one of a kind, Focal Show peice :) What Ya think?

last weekend I taught bead making at the glass center, one class was a bachlorette part, great fun! and the other was a 101 crash bead making course, also fun, buttttttttt somewhere on route I lost my ultimate favorite tools. so I have been sad all week :( you ever have tools that "just fit" sigh

I need my petal pullers back!!!!!

Good morning, for a few months now I have been trying to switch my glass pallette over to exclusively Bullseye glass. I finally took the leap gathered up all my 104 and 96 glass sold it off, cleansed my work are of all traces, and ordered enough to keep me busy for a while, Im excitited about the new colors. Im thrilled it is made in the USA :)

here are a couple new sets made with it...

I also have been working with some enamels, I will post some examples later today,

also I intend to move all my tutorials over to my shop here.

So in my head this is a genius Idea, now If I can only get it out verbally, or at least in the written word, work with me here please :)

SO.... Passing the wishes out makes my heart smile, and for my fellow lampworkers I would love for them to follow suit, For non lampworkers or simply someone who doesnt or cant make their own, I want to see wishes passed, the whole ripple effect I totally believe can put forth such amazing positive things out there.

I only leave Michigan once a year basically, I like to imagine the handfull of wishes I have set forth have gone around the world :) but I would love to see more!!!

Here is my idea, to help you become a participant in THE WISH EFFECT ...

Each week I will make a couple of these wish sets up, Im keeping them as affordable as I can, (available in my webstore) $20.00 for the donuts, 22.00 for the heart sets, free shipping world wide!)

in each set is a large wish bead pendant, yours to keep as a wish granter, and three small wish beads complete with the pass it forward tags,(not shown in pictures but are shown in the wish bead pile shot)

I am making a page up here on this site, to share your wish effect stories or picture that you want to share, totally not required, pass your three wishes on annonomously, or share with us!

The sharing page will be named The Wishing Well. and be in the links to the left<<,

Here are this weeks sets, there are two large donut pendants, and one heart pendant, the pendants have psyche glass swirls, and handmade star millis, a lil bit fancier than the wish beads but made with all the same love <3

This weeks pendants come on copper ball chains, 24 inch in length but easily adjustable.

Trying to consolidate my chaos.. Im moving my blogger account over here bit by bit also, getting a little bit cranky because it wont let me copy paste to here, ha

I want to share with everyone my Pass A Wish project I started last summer before my world got turned inside out :(

Trying to move forward with positive intentions,

OH! I think I figured it out!!!

Make A Wish Pass it on :)

I'm not sure why I decided I had to do this, But I will tell you I had an incredible day! and cant wait to get back out and do it again, I made a handfull of large big holed beads with starry millis in them, and attached a little tag that reads~If this finds you...Make A Wish...and pass it on.

My intentions were to just lay them out randomly in a part of town, and snap a picture or two as people picked them up, I did this with a couple, but for the most part I walked up introduced myself, gave them their WISH :) it went better than I had hoped and I met some really interesting people I never would have!

Leaving home, boy they make you feel guilty :) We went out to St Jo, for our first adventure,beautiful old lakeside town on lake Michigan

First recipient, what a doll! Her wish is to go back to Dublin, :)

Second recipients, we left it right where the little girl is looking down , I did go up and explain it to her mom

3rd peeps :) at first I think they thought I was going to try and sell them something, :) after they learned there were no strings attached, and I made sure they werent under the witness protection plan they smiled for the picture. as soon as we walked away two girls went running up to them to check it out, (wonder what they wished for :)

Our waitress number 4, I wish I was that photogenic! she asked if she had to wish for something "reasonable" I said no way!

5 We left this on on the bench and sat a couple benches away, almost gave up when this little boy scoped it out, he ran right up to his mommy showing her :) smile

6. and maybe one of my favorites, I approached his mother at a table by herself, looking like she needed a wish, when I started my spiel, she just looked at me strange, she didnt speak eglinsh! ta da saved by two young ones that showed up, I explained it to them and this young mans face lit up, he asked If i wanted him to pass it around to all 75 customers in the chocolate shop :) I said pass it on to whoever you think needs a wish :) The girl got shy about getting her picture taken, so I went out side and got a group shot, and they were all smiling with mom holding the bead in her hands.

I cant wait to do it again! What a perfect beautiful mondo cool day!

Im looking at this like the more people that send their wishes out the more positive things can happen, I handed out 6 wish beads today:) Im hoping it has a ripple effect.

So... I was building a new website, and it was really pretty, but alas, it had no storage for my pics, and the webstore sucked, ha...plus I had to have a seperate page for a blog, and that was just too many pans in the fire, and bad for my procrastination skills, this site is so much more user friendly, everything is in one spot, simplicity and ease is what I need in order to semi keep up with things. so here I am!!! I have alot to transfer over here, and a lot to update, as usual, but as I was working on this site this morning I came across this free heart murrini tutorial, just in the nick of time for Valentines day!

Im so excited to see the sun I cant even begin to tell you! It is so hard moving from Az where there are 364 days of sun,to Michigan where it feels like this year there was 360 days of no sun! I AM NOT EXAGGERATING!

Last week was battle fo the glass blowers at West Michigan Glass Society, Durning the battle Tracy and I demoed at the torches, and I thought because it was the battle of the blowers we should do some blowing in the torches,

So I used Chihuly as inspiration and we made smurf scaled hollow shapes, to create chandelier Pendants :)

Thennnn with my recent butterfly obsession i took it to another place and made this one

I will be putting these pendants up for sale in my store on this site. I am in no hurry to get rid of them, I love them, lol

Mutant chickens and butterflies

Just a quick post and run, Im cooking a three thighed chicken, and Lost is soming on :) Yes Im a lost Feign.

Wanted to show off some new butterfly designs, and shout out that MY PANSIES are blooming!! I left the container garden out all winter, figured I would have toreplant this spring, :( NOT!! Pansies are miracle flowers!!

Ok burning the mutant chicken!! here is two new sets up on the bay! each one would make three great focals in it self, or ONe fantastic peice!

This weekend we taught 29 girlscouts at West Michigan Glass society, we did a windchime fusing project, and then we made beads! Its always so much fun to teach the young ones!

Last Friday was the art hop, and at the art hope we do torch demos, this past one we made boro tops. too much fun and I have been a spinning fool since!

I have so many ideas for tomorrow! Well I had them for today, but oops :)

Happy New Years~

One more day till 2010! Im ready for sure!

I know I have been neglected the blog again the past couple months, we have had a lot of drama.

I have been doing everything I can to simply get by,

But im ready to move forward, start fresh and kick it up a notch bam!!!

Today Im setting up a web store again so you can purchase the tutorials right from here.

No excuses for the time lapse between me updating this blog, or website, Im just going to start fresh .

I have published two more tutorials in this time,

WHOAAAAAAA I said busy week? I meant busy month!!

Has been very chaoticilly busy this month with glass camp, classes, helping our brother move to BC, I have not had a weekend at home since my trip to AZ on mothers day! not to mention the weekdays spent away from it, (oh yeah my house is a mess!!! )

Glass camp was a blast! kind of sad to see it end, but we have sevreal big programs coming up andddddddd... I will be starting my sculptural floral class in SEPT!

I am still working on the new tutorial, should finish it up this week, actually I just have to finish it up this week, lol

Though I have been so busy and scatterbrained I still been listing, so I will take a minute here to show off some bead porn. (why do we call it such things? Bead porn? pimping our auctions? etc. ) We need to think of some new pretty words :)
